GPRS

GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) allows you to communicate, transfer data and surf the web wirelessly from your cellphone. You can connect to the internet for any length of time, but the good news is we'll only charge you for the amount of data sent or received.

To use GPRS, you need to have a GPRS-capable handset. Once you have the right equipment with the GPRS setting and you have activated it, connect to the internet whenever you want, wherever you want.
 

EDGE

EDGE (Enhanced Data Rates for GSM Evolution) is a 3G technology that delivers broadband-like data speeds to mobile devices. It allows you to connect to the internet and send or receive large chunks of data.

EDGE is three times faster than ordinary GSM / GPRS and currently offers speeds of up to 240kbps. As handset technology improves, EDGE speeds will increase to 480kbps. Transfer speeds will depend on radio conditions and network capacity.

To use EDGE you will need an EDGE-capable handset. Once you have the right equipment with the GPRS setting, using EDGE is automatic. When you're in an EDGE coverage area your handset will automatically use EDGE and will use GPRS when EDGE is not available.
